April 30, 2023 Concert Information
Please review the important information below in preparation for the upcoming concerts.
JUNIOR WIND ENSEMBLE, JUNIOR STRING ORCHESTRA & CHAMBER STRING ORCHESTRA CONCERT

PYCO SYMPHONY ORCHESTRA, CONCERT STRINGS & CONCERT WINDS CONCERT

1) The concerts and sound checks will all take place at Bellefield Hall Auditorium (315 S Bellefield Ave, Pittsburgh, PA 15213).
2) CALL TIMES FOR ALL ENSEMBLES (please arrive no later than these times so that we can accommodate all sound checks):
All students should enter at the main entrance and will be directed from there.
Parking: Parents, plan to drop off your child BEFORE you find parking. Parking is at your discretion. There is street parking and garages in the area, including the Carnegie Museums lot. Be advised that April 30th is also the commencement day for the University of Pittsburgh and the area may be particularly crowded and busy.
3) Please have your child arrive in concert attire. The required concert attire can be found on the website HERE.
4) Musicians: Remember to bring your music, instrument, and any accessories you need for your instrument. For example: extra reeds, mouthpiece, shoulder rest, endpin strap or rockstop, etc.
5) All folders and sheet music will be collected from each student at the end of their concert. Please turn in your folder as directed once the performance is over.
After the concerts, we will be on Summer Break until Sunday, September 10, 2023. We will send out an email soon to start registrations for next season, so please keep an eye out for that. Visit our website HERE for Summer Camp opportunities.
6) Please note that no food will be provided. Students may bring a packed meal or snacks to eat backstage. No food or drinks are permitted in the auditorium area. Students are also allowed to bring homework or a quiet, independent activity to do during break times.
7) We will be hosting a bake sale in the lobby to help support our young musicians. Please bring 2 dozen cookies (or dessert item of your choice) for us to sell at the concerts. All proceeds support the many programs that PYCO offers. You may drop off your item in the lobby.
8) We are looking for volunteers for the following. Please email us at info@pyco.org if you are able to assist.
9) We rely heavily on our young musicians and their families to help us promote concerts and events. Please invite your friends and family members and click below to download a concert poster!

- Chaperones to help monitor students from 12:45 to 2:15 pm during sound checks
- Help with the bake sale before the 2:30 pm concert
- Help with the bake sale before the 6 pm concert
- Help with clean up and putting away equipment after the 6 pm concert
