Chamber Music Festival 2022

Join us for a week of fantastic opportunities!
- Grow as a well-rounded musician

- Meet with distinguished faculty & guests
- Registration is now limited to viola & select violin students, ages 11-18
- Also open to adult amateur musicians, dependent on the ability to form a viable adult ensemble based on the number of participants registered. Adults will participate with other adults only, and will not be performing in any ensembles with children.
- All students registered for the Chamber Music Festival will also receive a free pass to the Pittsburgh Perspectives Festival, in which they will get to experience chamber music performed by both local and visiting musicians. The Perspectives Festival will highlight musicians and composers of diverse backgrounds. More information can be found at this link: https://www.perspectivesfest.com/

Due to the highly individualized nature of this program, no refunds will be given after June 6, 2022. No refunds will be made for failure to attend or incomplete attendance for any reason.

- Violin & Viola Masterclass with Brittany MacWilliams, University of Louisville
- Cello Masterclass with Ashley Sandor Sidon, Drake University
- Chamber Music Masterclass with Kivie Cahn-Lipman, International Contemporary Ensemble, Acronym Ensemble, Youngstown University
- Jazz Improvisations with Tom Roberts
- Entrepreneurship Class with Lance LaDuke, Carnegie Mellon University
- Chamber Orchestra
Auditions: For chamber music group placement purposes, an audition is required. Video auditions may be sent to info@pyco.org. The audition deadline is Monday, June 6, 2022.
Chamber Music Festival Faculty
Students are instructed by prominent artists and teachers of national and international renown with extensive experience and expertise as educators, chamber musicians, and members of major musical groups.
Seminar faculty and guest artists include musicians from the Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra, Pittsburgh Opera, Pittsburgh Ballet, Kassia Ensemble, Carnegie Mellon University, and Duquesne University.
