December 11, 2016 Concert Information
We're excited for our holiday concert this Sunday, December 11th! Please review the important information below in preparation for this concert.
1) The concert and dress rehearsals will all take place at Saints John and Paul Church, 2586 Wexford Bayne Road, Sewickley, PA 15143.
Junior Strings, Chamber Strings, Junior Wind Ensemble, and the PYCO Orchestra will all perform in one concert at 6:00 pm. Chamber Brass will provide a pre-concert lobby performance.
An important note about Saints John and Paul Church: The church staff members have asked us to remind everyone that the church is their sacred space. All students and families are expected to be respectful. Children are not permitted to run or play in the Sanctuary or Choir Loft. No one should be on the altar area at any time. Thank you for your cooperation.
2) All students should enter at the main entrance of the church and will be directed from there.
3) CALL TIMES (please arrive no later than these times):
3:00 pm - Chamber Strings
3:15 pm - Junior Strings
3:45 pm - PYCO Orchestra
4:15 pm - Junior Wind Ensemble
5:15 pm - Chamber Brass
4) Please have your child arrive in concert attire. The required concert attire can be found on the website HERE.
5) Please note that no food will be provided. Students may bring a packed meal or snacks to eat downstairs. No food or drinks are permitted in the Sanctuary of the church. Students are also allowed to bring homework or a quiet, independent activity to do during break times.
6) Since our last bake sale was a huge success, we will be holding another one at the concert this Sunday. We ask that you bring a dozen cookies (or dessert item of your choice) for us to sell. All proceeds will support the many programs that PYCO offers. You may drop off your item in the downstairs conference room.
7) We rely heavily on our young musicians and their families to help us promote concerts and events. Please invite your friends and family members, and share our Facebook event page! If you would like to post a copy of our concert flyer in your community, an electronic copy can be downloaded here!
