PYCO Youth Jazz Ensemble

Students aged 12 to 18 join together to experience jazz ensemble playing and learn jazz improvisation skills with professional musicians and educators. The ensemble is open to ALL woodwind, brass, string, percussion, guitar, bass, and piano students. The Youth Jazz Ensemble performs for the public each semester at the PYCO School of Music Recital Hall.

Rehearsal & Concert Schedule
All rehearsals take place on Sundays from 6:30 to 7:30 pm at the PYCO School of Music.
The Youth Jazz Ensemble will take place in the Fall 2025 semester with Director Tim Heavner!

Tuition
- $225 per semester
- Tuition is due at the beginning of each semester
- A sibling discount of 10% will be applied to any PYCO tuition that is equal or less than the first tuition paid. The same discount applies to any student participating in multiple PYCO ensembles.
- Multi-Ensemble Discount
- If a student is enrolled in another PYCO youth ensemble (such as Wind Symphony or Junior Wind Symphony), their Jazz tuition will be discounted to $150 per semester.
- $25 one-time registration fee
- The one-time registration fee is due for new students joining the Youth Jazz Ensemble.
- Returning students are not required to submit a registration fee.

Tuition Scholarship: At PYCO, we never want tuition costs to be a barrier to participation. If you think you will have difficulty paying tuition, please fill out our short scholarship application HERE, and a flexible payment plan or financial aid will be arranged. Scholarships are determined individually based on need.
