December 7th & 8th Concert Information
Please review the important information below in preparation for the upcoming concerts.
CHAMBER WOODWINDS

JUNIOR STRINGS, CHAMBER STRINGS,
JUNIOR WIND ENSEMBLE, & PYCO ORCHESTRA CONCERT Sunday, December 8th |

1) The concert will take place at our rehearsal home, PYCO School of Music, 150 Lake Drive, Suite 103, Wexford, PA 15090. The concert will begin at 5 pm.
2) CALL TIME is 4:15 pm for both Chamber Woodwinds and Chamber Brass (students should arrive no later than this time). 3) Please have your child arrive in concert attire. The required concert attire can be found on the website HERE. 4) We rely heavily on our young musicians and their families to help us promote concerts and events. Please invite your friends and family members, and share our Facebook event page! 5) Please consider supporting your fellow PYCO family members from other ensembles and refrain from leaving the concert early. All of our students have worked hard and would love to share what they prepared with everyone in attendance. We would be greatly appreciative if parents and students do not leave after their own performance before the end of the concert. Thank you for your understanding and cooperation in this matter. 6) Winter break starts after the concert. We will not have rehearsal again until Sunday, January 5, 2020. 1) The concert and dress rehearsals will all take place at Saints John & Paul Church, 2586 Wexford Bayne Road, Sewickley, PA 15143.
Junior Strings, Chamber Strings, Junior Wind Ensemble, and the PYCO Orchestra will all perform in one concert at 3 pm. An important note about Saints John and Paul Church: The church staff members have asked us to remind everyone that the church is their sacred space. All students and families are expected to be respectful. Children are not permitted to run or play in the Sanctuary, Choir Loft, or elevator. No one should be on the altar area at any time. Thank you for your cooperation. 2) CALL TIMES (please arrive no later than these times so that we can accommodate all dress rehearsals): 12:15 pm - ALL PERCUSSION students 1:00 pm - PYCO Orchestra 1:30 pm - Junior Wind Ensemble 1:45 pm - Chamber Strings 2:00 pm - Junior Strings All students should enter at the main entrance of the church and will be directed from there. 3) Please have your child arrive in concert attire. The required concert attire can be found on the website HERE. 4) Musicians: Remember to bring your music, instrument, and any accessories you need for your instrument. For example: extra reeds, shoulder rest, endpin strap or rockstop, etc. 5) No food or drinks will be allowed in the Sanctuary of the church. If needed, students may bring a packed meal or snacks to eat in the lobby. Students are also allowed to bring homework or a quiet, independent activity to do during break times. 6) Bake Sale: Please bring 2 dozen cookies (or dessert item of your choice) for us to sell at the concert. All proceeds support the many programs that PYCO offers. You may drop off your item in the lobby. Please note, since no food is allowed in the church Sanctuary, sold cookie boxes will be labeled with your name and held for you for pickup in the lobby after the concert. 7) We rely heavily on our young musicians and their families to help us promote concerts and events.
